After being the first Hijabi model to show up in a Burkini on a magazine cover, Somali model Halima Adan became a style icon grabbing everyone’s attention through her outstanding and modest looks. The 22-year-old model became an influencer after she walked the runway for several prominent Fashion Houses, such as Max Mara, Alberta Ferretti. Halima Aden received the media’s attention thanks to her modest style which is redefining modest fashion concept and challenging stereotypes.

Halima usually goes for simple yet edgy style, she knows how to look effortlessly chic without opting for skin, not to forget her famous oversized turban which add a special twist to her looks.

Flared Maxi Dresses

Halima often chooses maxi dresses with wide flare and a turtle-neck, with puffy sleeves. These modest dresses can be simple but elegant pieces that can be styled in different ways. For example, Halima opted for a fun floral print dress neck-tied with oversized glasses, while she looked very classy in a simple white maxi dress with bell-sleeves.

Suits

Halima doesn't miss the chance to look glamorous in a formal look through suits. She looked amazing in a blue high-waist suit paired with a white turtleneck. She styled the outfit with open-toes blue pumps. A golden touch was added through her turban.

Layering

The supermodel has mastered layering clothes which shows a level of sophistication in modest style. In one of her looks, Halima has a monochromatic outfit infusing some golden twist and small prints to it. She layered a blouse with pants top it with a midi skirt and a long coat. Also, the hijab wrap looked like a scarf wrapped at the neck.

As for her signature look, Halima is known for her oversized turban that is usually knotted at the front. However, this doesn’t mean that her only way to wrap a Hijab, but she is definitely using the turban to add her stylish twist to the looks. Sometimes, she uses different turban colors or prints just to make a statement through it, taking her look to another level.
