During the premiere of the film Oppenheimer in London on July 12, actress Emily Blunt had a small wardrobe malfunction, quickly managed by her co-star, Florence Pugh.
While Christopher Nolan's latest film, Oppenheimer, is highly anticipated in theaters, its star-studded cast, including Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., and Matt Damon, was also eagerly awaited on Wednesday, July 12, for its London premiere. However, an unexpected incident took Emily Blunt by surprise on the red carpet. The 40-year-old actress stepped forward before the photographers wearing a golden suit designed by Dolce & Gabbana. As she posed alongside Florence Pugh, her co-star in the film, the last button of her jacket popped off, revealing her black bra. Caught off guard, the actress covered it with her hand before turning to her partner. Florence quickly understood the problem and first embraced her in a protective gesture before helping her to fasten the clasp.
Both of them then continued as if nothing had happened, unable to hold back a burst of laughter. Although the moment was fleeting, it didn't escape the attention of internet users, accumulating several million views on TikTok. Fortunately for her, Emily Blunt is not the only one to have experienced what social media calls a "wardrobe malfunction," which refers to a clothing mishap on the red carpet.
In Cannes last May, it was Heidi Klum who fell victim to a wardrobe malfunction. While she was making grand movements to demonstrate the fluidity of her dress, she narrowly avoided revealing a nipple from her plunging neckline. More recently, during her tour, Beyoncé managed to avoid a similar situation with the help of one of her dancers, who embraced her in the same way Florence Pugh did with Emily Blunt. The moral of the story is that for a successful appearance, sometimes you also need to rely on a good friend.
