Dubai Fashion Week (DFW), a premier event co-founded by Dubai Design District (d3) and the Arab Fashion Council, has made a splash by announcing its Autumn/Winter 24/25 dates with a striking billboard in Times Square, New York. Set to unfold from February 4-8, 2024, DFW's third edition marks a return to d3's innovative hub, part of TECOM Group PJSC. This event positions Dubai at the forefront of the global fashion calendar, preceding renowned fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan, and Paris for the first time.
Aiming to enhance its global presence and draw more international buyers and industry leaders, DFW's new schedule fosters increased collaboration with designers. The event's goal is to solidify Dubai's status as a dynamic center of fashion and creativity. Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of d3, highlights Dubai's emerging role in showcasing diverse and exceptional talent in the fashion industry. By shifting the Autumn/Winter event earlier, DFW allows designers to connect with buyers and investors at a crucial time, fostering a flourishing fashion ecosystem in the region and beyond.
The Autumn/Winter 2024-25 edition promises a vibrant array of fashion shows, exclusive events, brand activations, and engaging discussions. It's set to exhibit the latest trends and facilitate industry collaborations, shaping a platform where the present and future of fashion intersect.
DFW has already established Dubai as a significant fashion hub. Its previous editions attracted international and regional buyers, media, and designers. Highlights include a presentation by Carolina Herrera and appearances by Wes Gordon and Sarah Sampaio, concluding with Naomi Campbell on the runway for Rizman Ruzaini. With a focus on sustainability and innovative designs, DFW is a testament to Dubai's growing influence and the unique creativity and diversity within the fashion industry.
