The 53-year-old supermodel made a striking appearance at the Burberry show, held in the heart of London on February 19.
There couldn't have been a more British setting than Burberry's show, presented in the heart of London on February 19. For its Winter 2024 collection, artistic director Daniel Lee, born in Bradford, penned a veritable love letter to England. To further emphasize the British spirit, Naomi Campbell stood out as the true sensation of the evening. The London-born model, a star of the 1990s, made a notable appearance dressed in a long, textured, and glittering strapless gown, paired with black platform boots, marking her first appearance on the Autumn-Winter 2024-2025 Women's Fashion Week runways. However, Naomi has always appeared in unique looks, and you can check her past appearances in our article Naomi Campbell’s Most Iconic Runway Moments.
A "So British" Parade
Naomi Campbell's appearance at Burberry was no coincidence, as the model, like Kate Moss, has significantly marked the London fashion and cultural scene. The brand's show leaned into a very British casting: on the catwalk, one could spot Lennon Gallagher, the son of Oasis singer Liam Gallagher, and Maya Wigram, the daughter of English stylist Phoebe Philo. The models walked on an artificial grass runway to the sound of hits from London's late legend, Amy Winehouse.
Burberry's Winter 2024-2025 collection bets on volume and shape. The wardrobe, featuring shades of green tailored for the British bourgeoisie, is characterized by duffle coats, fluid dresses, reinvented pleated skirts, and bulky parkas. These are garments that combine comfort and style, even for men who wear wide-striped suits, deeply V-necked vests, or zippered trousers. Not forgetting the practical touch, essential for overcoming England's gloomy weather: a tartan scarf tied around the head or an umbrella to ward off a potential downpour. Always with elegance.
