After a seven-year hiatus, Marion Cotillard made her grand return to the Césars. For this 49th edition, which took place on February 23 at the Olympia, the actress once again showcased the excellence of Chanel. On the red carpet, she opted for a dress from the latest French house's haute couture spring-summer 2024 collection, presented in Paris on January 23. Always loyal to the creations of Virginie Viard, the artistic director of the house with the intertwined "Cs," Marion Cotillard chose a strapless, form-fitting, short white dress, characterized by a series of wavy fringes set with rhinestones. A long black tulle train attached to the back of the dress completed her silhouette. It is no coincidence that the creation recalls those that opera dancers might sometimes adopt: the Chanel spring-summer 2024 haute couture collection is inspired by the wardrobe of the prima ballerina, Virginie Viard having designed it as "the affirmation of a triumphant body.
I love the mullet haircut
In terms of beauty, the first actress to be nominated for the César for Best Actress for a role in a documentary (Little Girl Blue, note), had opted for simple makeup that highlighted her deep blue eyes. But above all, she swapped her blow-dry for a rock mullet haircut. "I love the mullet haircut! It's a transformation, it's a bit of fun," she shared with influencer Léna Mahfouf, who was hosting the red carpet. A way to prove, if necessary, that fashion always offers the opportunity to combine humor with elegance, even on the evening of a ceremony.
