Usually, during the Met Gala, the conversations focus more on the outfits worn by the celebrities, the names of the designers who dress them or the source of inspiration for the creations they wear.
But in the middle of all this, Cara Delevingne managed to slip in a public health message. The 31- year-old model arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute benefit gala alongside Stella McCartney, singer Ed Sheeran and singer FKA Twigs.
In keeping with this year's Met theme, 'Garden of Time,' the supermodel wore a Stella McCartney ensemble featuring a chainmail hooded crop top and a white skirt with a train.

Change the world.”
“It’s the least I can do” The journalist who was interviewing Cara took the opportunity to ask her what she wanted to say to people who thanked her for being honest in publicly sharing the story of her struggle with alcoholism. “I think that’s what I’ve always done in this business,” explained the Dior muse. “Whether it's opening up about anxiety, depression, healing or anything else, you owe it to people to talk about your struggles, because it's not perfect to be in this world. Nobody is perfect. To be honest, it’s the least I can do.”
The actress who currently plays Sally Bowles in the musical Cabaret, revealed for the first time her fight against alcoholism, in an interview for Vogue magazine, of which she was on the cover in April
2023. She then confided that she entered rehab to follow a 12-step program in July 2022. At the time, she explained that her health condition was linked to the effects of the pandemic and her 30th
birthday.
Before joining the excitement at the Met, Cara Delevingne sent a message of support to people who, like her, have struggled or are still struggling with alcoholism. “You are not alone,” she said. “If I can
do it, anyone can do it. But you have to communicate and be honest about it as much as you can, especially with yourself.”
