“Artificial Beauty” is the name of the for Spring/Summer 2025 collection by KAF BY KAF, showcased at Riyadh Fashion Week and that draws inspiration from the conflict between technology and nature, under the creative leadership of designer Kawthar Alhoraish.
This collection explores the tensions between natural and artificial elements, the contrasts between organic movements and modern technologies, as well as the ways technology seeks to control natural phenomena.
Alhoraish explores how technology can reshape our notions of beauty by integrating natural elements with technological innovations in the fashion world. Each piece is crafted and designed using advanced technology, reflecting the designer's ability to achieve a seamless balance between shapes, tradition and contemporary design.
The True Meaning of Natural Beauty in the Modern Era
The designer delves into the true essence of natural beauty through a masterful blend of nature and science. This collection also features handcrafted items and embroidery developed with the aid of technology, demonstrating the human touch that embodies the organic movement of nature and its beauty. This includes an intensive development of artisanal industries, where the designer finds common ground to explore the relationship between craftsmanship and technological innovation.
Through her collection, Kawthar Alhoraish aims to convey the message that the future of design does not lie in replacing the past, but in finding innovative ways that blend authenticity with evolution.
A Highlight of Riyadh Fashion Week
Among the highlights of Riyadh Fashion Week was KAF BY KAF unveiling of the first-ever robot model in the fashion industry.
This innovative step successfully showed the importance of technology in the fashion world, as “Sarah”, the robot, walked down the runway in a custom Spring/Summer 25 design by the house. This bold and creative use of a robotic model challenges the traditional concepts of beauty.
