The year 2025 is finally here and with it comes the most fashionable and daring ideas for the next spring-summer season. Peep toe pumps (open toe), transparent shoes or sneakers with a seventies look… these new trends will be renewing the panorama of our dressing rooms.
Peep toe
The trend started the Roaring Twenties but it was the following decades, 1940 and 1950, that saw their popularity rise, thanks to icons like Marilyn Monroe. Now, they will be back next summer, as seen at Prada, Stella McCartney, Miu Miu and The Attico. The most unique version appeared at Tory Burch and Khaite where the rounded ends of the peep toe pumps were finely slit to reveal only a hint of skin.
Cool clog
The return of the Pescura had already prepared us for the return of this fashion phoenix. In March 2024, the front row of Chloé's fall-winter 2024-2025 fashion show confirmed the phenomenon, since almost all of the guests wore the famous clog sandals. If autumn brought it back to life, it's next summer that the clog gets a dose of elegance and cool attitude.
Thong Heels
After a return to the biggest catwalks last summer, remaining impeccably classic in quiet luxury fashion at Chanel or The Row, the flip-flop in 2025 is preparing to take on new heights. Introducing a new era of fine sandals, they sit on small heels at Carven which offers its minimalist reinterpretation. At Alaïa and Chloé, they play on color and materials like electric blue suede calfskin or jellyfish-style plastic, while at Burberry they offer the details of multiple straps.
In complete transparency
Cinderella shoes or mules: transparent sandals have taken over the spring-summer 2025 catwalks. Transparent flat ankle boots from Tibi, mules with a wide band from Alaïa or Versace, Rabanne’s heeled boots or even an ornate Bottega Veneta mule… 2025 clearly plays on transparency.
Everything shiny
In 2025, we free ourselves and flourish by making bold fashion choices. Result: we say yes to the statement accessory, exuberant jewelry and of course, pairs of shoes that make the difference and catch the eye. Gold from Valentino and Versace, dancing fringes from Salvatore Ferragamo or Proenza Schouler, gems from Saint Laurent or Chloé... Let your personality speak for itself.
Corset style
Between the return of romanticism and the persistence of the balletcore phenomenon, the modern dancer never stops spinning. In its wake, ballerinas shoes and mary-janes remain on the podium but another model comes to compete with them: the corset shoe, flat or with small stiletto heels, laced with ribbons at our ankles. Wedge mule option from Dries Van Noten in snake print, pale pink leather flat or with heels from Chloé and Salvatore Ferragamo, refined satin from Le Monde Béryl… The ribbon, or even the lace, delicately embraces the foot.
