After a year-long battle and on-going treatment, Kate Middleton has announced that she is officially in remission. The Princess of Wales shared the uplifting news on her social media, expressing both relief and hope. “It’s a relief to now be in remission, and I remain focused on recovery,” she shared. Reflecting on her journey, Prince William’s wife added, “As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead.”
Kate Middleton made the announcement hours after visiting the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, where she was treated for cancer, to thank staff and support patients. This marked the first time the location of her treatment was publicly disclosed.
“I wanted to come and show my support (...) to those who are undergoing treatment and who are going through such a difficult period,” declared the princess, who has just celebrated her 43rd birthday, saluting the “extraordinary work” carried out in this hospital. “Entering here through the main entrance, after having made so many discreet and private visits, it's quite nice actually,” she then added, in front of the hospital, which is located in the upscale Chelsea district in the west of the British capital, London.
