My fashion journey wasn’t conventional. I started with a BA in finance and worked in banking for two years. While I appreciated the structure of finance, I always felt drawn to creativity and self-expression. Fashion became my escape, a world where I could bring visions to life. The turning point was realizing that my passion for design was more than an interest—it was a calling. I took the leap, embraced the unknown, and dedicated myself to crafting pieces that tell a story through fabric, emotion, and individuality.

Hand-tailored designs require precision and artistry. How did you develop your unique approach to couture, and what does the dragonfly symbol in your creations represent?

Couture is more than just craftsmanship; it’s an extension of identity and emotion. My approach to design is rooted in creating pieces that feel personal and liberating rather than just adhering to tradition. Every detail is intentional, to enhance the wearer’s confidence and individuality.

The dragonfly, which has become a signature symbol in my designs, represents transformation, self-love, and freedom. It first appeared in The Fly Collection, where I explored the idea that true liberation comes from embracing oneself fully. Just like the dragonfly moves with grace and purpose, my designs aim to empower and inspire those who wear them.

Your pieces exude elegance and timeless sophistication. How would you define the Jeanne Feghaly aesthetic in three words?

Empowered, Unconventional, Timeless.

Color plays a significant role in fashion storytelling. What are your signature color palettes, and how do they reflect your vision?

In my collections, color plays an important role in storytelling. For the winter, black is always the hero color—symbolizing elegance, strength, and timelessness. It allows the intricate details and textures of the pieces to truly shine, exuding a sense of sophistication and power.

For spring, I choose soft pastels, which represent renewal, lightness, and a sense of freedom. These colors evoke a feeling of growth and transformation, aligning perfectly with the season's spirit. Each palette is thoughtfully selected to reflect the themes of the collection, with color becoming an emotional language that enhances client’s journey.

Trends evolve, but true style remains constant. How do you balance timeless couture with modern trends?

I believe in creating timeless designs, that speak to the present moment.

My approach to couture is to blend classic techniques with modern elements, ensuring each piece feels both relevant and enduring. I focus on craftsmanship and quality, ensuring that the designs remain sophisticated and elegant, but I also incorporate contemporary details—whether it’s through fabric or accessories. This balance allows my creations to feel fresh yet enduring, always staying true to the wearer's unique identity.

The country’s legacy of artistry, from traditional embroidery to its vibrant design culture, has shaped my vision. Being based in Lebanon allows me to draw inspiration from the beauty around me—its landscapes, its people, and its culture. It’s about capturing the essence of my roots while pushing the boundaries of creativity.

I'm particularly excited to explore new materials and techniques that can be incorporated into both garments and accessories. Accessories, as an essential part of the look, are a way to further amplify personal style and creativity. I’m focused on evolving my work to include unique, forward-thinking designs in both clothing and accessories while staying true to the core values of craftsmanship, individuality, and timeless beauty.
