1st PITP Meeting in Malta Parliament next June

HE Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP) met this morning HE Mr. Angelo Farrugia, President of the Parliament of Malta, in the Maltese capital, Valletta.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss means of cooperation and joint work between the GCTP and the Parliament of Malta, in order to spread the culture of tolerance and peace in the world.
HE Mr. Angelo congratulated Al-Jarwan, praising his efforts in spreading the values of tolerance and promoting peace in the world. He also expressed admiration for the achievements of the GCTP, confirming his great role as an international forum calling for tolerance, love and peace in the coming period.
On his behalf, Al-Jarwan praised the support of the Government and Parliament of Malta for the GCTP, their hosting of the headquarters of the Council, as well as all the services and facilities they provide for the sake of the peace efforts and spreading tolerance. This reflects Malta's strong moderation, and its longstanding role as the land of love, tolerance and peace for all countries of the world.
The two parties agreed to hold the first session of the PITP in the main hall of the seat of the Parliament of Malta during the month of June.
Parliamentary, official and international leaders should attend the launch of the PITP.
The PITP, composed of parliamentarians from all over the world, deals exclusively with tolerance and peace, and seeks ways to sow the culture of tolerance and peace, and spread it around the world, to fight against extremism, intolerance, racism and conflict.
