The opening of the International Maritime Academy in Lebanon

The doors of the first accredited maritime academy in the MENA region are open to prospective students.
The International Maritime Academy of Lebanon (IMA) held its official opening ceremony, marking the beginning of a new era for Lebanese maritime culture and the creation of a niche within a national market set to test by economic difficulties. Many guests, including government officials, business executives and employees, attended the meeting, which was the subject of media coverage.
The MIA is the first academy accredited by the International Sailing School Association (ISSA) in the MENA region, offering high-level courses and professional training within the state-of-the-art simulations.
The Academy aims to strengthen the maritime culture and image of the Great Sea in Lebanon, in the spirit of the Lebanese people with regard to their Phoenician ancestry. The mission is clear, supporting professional tourism and expanding the job possibilities locally and internationally.
The IMA is convinced that it is essential to ensure security and control abroad, and that is why they want to empower their students and their qualified staff, by focusing on internationally recognized professionalism and expertise.
