European countries are witnessing a great wave of emigration from the Arab countries, which has led to the spread of Arabic language in them but not to the extent that the official language of a European country is the Arabic language. But there is a wonderful Mediterranean island called Malta, a small island and an independent state, whose inhabitants speak a language derived from Arabic. In addition to Arabic and Maltese, the islanders speak English. These languages are widely spoken in the country and come before Italian. Malta is one of the smallest and most densely populated countries in the world, having successfully joined the European Union in 2004.
