CHANEL: FALL-WINTER 2019 BEAUTY COLLECTION
NOIR ET BLANC DE CHANEL
5-September-2019
For Fall-Winter 2019, black and white, the ultimate symbolic (non) colours of CHANEL, are explored and reinterpreted by Lucia Pica, CHANEL Global Creative Makeup and Color Designer. “Black and white are the colours I relate most to Gabrielle Chanel. Black and white were in her surroundings, in the interiors, in the architecture of Paris as well as in the symbolism of her life.” Lucia Pica
THE FACE
Transmuted into a gel, both silken and sparkling, light is caught and reflected by LE GEL PAILLETÉ, a transparent shimmering gel.
THE EYES
LES 4 OMBRES eyeshadow palette is revived this season. In the Noir Suprême palette, the rich, complementary browns of early black-and-white photography are velvety, warm and seductive. Modern Glamour, the sister palette, deals with more sparkling, contrasted tones of the silver print, where chilly whites and satin greys are contrasted against intense black matte. OMBRE PREMIÈRE TOP COAT comes in two colors: Carte Blanche is a white top coat with silver sparkles, while Pénombre is a luminous black tin top coat with anti-gold reflections.
THE LIPS
For the ROUGE COCO GLOSS, Laque Noire is a deep black cherry. Crystal Clear is a transparent top coat with subtle sparkle. In contrast, ROUGE ALLURE LIQUID POWDER is nature smoothly tamed, gently blurred and matte. Bois de Nuit, is a light, warm rosewood and Timeless a light caramel beige.
ROUGE ALLURE VELVET EXTRÊME extends the idea of a garden at night with Rose Nocturne, a deep matte rosebud, almost like a second skin. While Rouge Obscur, a deep, rich, burgundy, stains the lips like a fine wine.
THE NAILS
LE VERNIS Pure Black is both sumptuous and enveloping, proving itself a new kind of classic for nails.
LE VERNIS Pure White is both startling and appealing, almost aggressively innocent in its approach.
