Honoring Gabrielle Chanel's codes

Chanel’s exceptional Métiers d’Art show is presented once a year and is a celebration of the skills and the know-how of the ateliers who work with Chanel. This year, Virginie Viard, the Artistic Director of CHANEL’s Fashion collections, chose to pay a tribute the Mademoiselle’s codes, from the bow, the chain, the wheat, the camellia, the two-tone to the double C, by naming the collection "31 Rue Cambon", after the address of Chanel's iconic Parisian store. Virginie Viard worked with filmmaker Sofia Coppola on the show set, and the opulent Grand Palais in Paris was transformed into rooms reminiscing Coco Chanel’s personal apartment. Models including Kaia Gerber and Gigi Hadid walked the runway, wearing stunning pieces. Out favorites? The birdcage-shaped bag, the jeweled belt is worn as a belly chain, the white skirt with a graphic Chanel logo pattern dotted with camellias, and the tiny black quilted handbag.
