9-March-2020
FOR THE CRUST
- 2 cups of flour
- ¾ cup of butter cut in cubes
- 1 egg
- ¾ cup of sugar
- 1 small spoon of vanilla extract
FOR THE FILLING
- 800 g of dark chocolate cut in cubes
- 800 ml of fresh cream
- 200 g of halawa
- Grated pistachios to decorate
PREPARATION
Mix the butter and the flour. Add the egg, the sugar and the vanilla and mix until you get a soft dough. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and leave it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Once ready, spread some flour on a flat surface, sprinkle some flour, remove the plastic wrap from the dough and work the dough until the flour is fully incorporated. Flatten it well then cut into small disks. Brush the mini-tarts plates with some melted butter. Place the doughs in the plates, press gently with a fork and bake in a pre-heated oven for about 15 minutes. Melt the dark chocolate, add the cream and mix together. Pour a bit of the mix in each of the tart plates, let it chill for a few minutes, then add some cubes of halawa. Cover with the remaining chocolate mix and sprinkle some grated pistachios.
