Banana Cream Pie

Ingredients
For Pie Dough:
2 cups of flour
¾ cup of butter
1 egg
¾ cup of powdered sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla
For Custard filling:
6 eggs yolk
½ cup sugar
¼ teaspoon of salt
4 tablespoons of starch
½ cup of milk
1 cup of thick cream
3 tablespoons of melted butter
1 teaspoon of vanilla
4 medium bananas
How to prepare
Cut the butter into small cubes and mix it with flour well with your hands. Add the eggs with sugar and vanilla while mixing it until the mixture becomes a soft dough.
Wrap the dough in a plastic bag then place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Take the dough out of the refrigerator and spread it on a surface after spreading some flour on it. Put in the dough in a pie pan greased with butter.
Pierce the dough using a fork then put it back in the refrigerator for half an hour. After taking it out, Bake it in on 180 degrees for 15 minutes until it becomes golden then leave it to cool completely.
To prepare the filling, whisk the egg yolks with sugar, salt and starch in a large bowl.
Mix the milk with cream and butter in a bowl over low heat until boiling. Add the hot milk mixture gradually to the egg mixture while whipping, then put the mixture again on the fire with constant stirring until it becomes thick.
Remove from heat and add vanilla. Place the custard filling in a colander over a bowl and squeeze it with a spoon. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
Peel bananas and cut them into pieces. Add a layer of banana over the dough then a layer of custard filling on top of it. Add 2 layers of each.
You can decorated your banana cream pie with bananas and whipped cream with sugar just before serving.
