In the fifth televised address of her 68-year reign, Queen Elizabeth ll made a rare speech filmed in Windsor Castle addressing all UK citizens, thanking NHS workers for their endeavors in battling coronavirus and “we will succeed”.
In a historic speech, the British Monarch said:” Many will feel a painful sense of separation from their loved ones… we know, deep down, that it is the right thing to do… This time we join with all nations across the globe in a common endeavor, using the great advances of science and our instinctive compassion to heal.”
Wearing a turquoise greenish color was no coincidence! The Queen chose this specific shade of turquoise as a tribute to NHS workers, who wear this color very often. She never showed up in this shade of turquoise before, as the queen usually opts for blue ensembles or lighter shades of green.
As for the diamond turquoise brooch, It was a gift from Queen’s Elizabeth’s grandmother Queen Mary on her wedding day, which holds an important value.
