How your bra looks highly affects your outfit, and choosing the best type and size for your breast will improve your look and make you feel comfortable while wearing it all the day. When choosing the wrong bra size, that is is too big or too small for your boobs, it may result in some seriousproblems, such as infections, because having too much pressure on your breastsmay be very harmful.
Follow these basic steps when choosing a bra that fits your breast size, this would also help your upper body look tight, fit and sexier.
Size Measurements
Most women buy bras that are the size they want to wear instead of the one that really suits them. To determine the size of your breast, you must take some measurements. However, this does not mean that these measurements are your final choice, because it may be uncomfortable after trying it, as every underwear manufacturer has different sizes.
Band size
Using a measuring tape, wrap it firmly below your breast, note it down.
Chest size
Before knowing the cup size, you must measure the chest.Wrap the measuring tape again around your back, but this time pass it over your breast without putting too much pressure and write down the number. Next, subtract the chest size from the band size, and use the difference between the two measurements to determine the cup size. If your chest measurement is 43 Inch, and your band is 38 Inch, the difference is 5, giving you a bra size of a 38DD.Use the following numbers as reference:
If the difference is:
Under 1 Inch – Cup AA
1 inch – Cup A
2 Inches – Cup B
3 Inches – Cup C
4 Inches – Cup D
5 Inches – Cup DD/E
6 Inches – Cup DDD/F
7 Inches – Cup G
8 Inches – Cup H
After wearing and trying on your bra, you should pay attention to some fitting details, even if you picked the correct cup size.
- Ensure that the bra’sband reaches your lower chest and holds your boobs completely. Lift your hands up, the band should remain in place.
- You should be able to place two fingers under the back strap of the bra, but not more!
- If the bra is squeezing your chest to the point where you have wrinkles near your armpits, or on your back sides then it’s too small. Try one with a larger cup size.
- Connect the row of hooks that is farthest to the right. The base band can stretch with time, that when you’ll need the remaining hooks.
