Reports confirmed the disappearance of Glee star Naya Rivera, after she went on a boat trip with her son in Ventura County, California. The media said that Naya Rivera had rented a small boat on Wednesday with her 4-year-old son in Lake Piru. However, her son was found sleeping alone on the boat. According to local reports, Josey Hollis Dorsey, Rivera’s son, told investigators that he and his mother were swimming, but his mother never got back into the boat. “She jumped into the water but didn’t come back up,” a source told TMZ.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Department Capt. Eric Buschow, told the LA Times Josey was “in good health but the family is going through a very traumatic time right now. He said they were able to confirm Naya’s identity after finding her wallet onboard the boat, where they found also her lifejacket. Although divers searched the lake, but there was no sign of the Glee star.
On her latest post on Instagram, Naya shared a photo of her kissing her son, with the caption: “just the two of us.”
Noting that she and Ryan Dorsey, her son’s father, got divorced in 2018 but they’re sharing their son’s custody. Earlier this month, the American actress posted a photo of herself leaving a powerful message: “No matter the year, circumstance, or strifes everyday you're alive is a blessing. Make the most of today and every day you are given. Tomorrow is not promised.”
Is it the “Glee curse” again? It is an expression used to point out to Glee stars who have been involved in tragic and scandalous incidents.
For instance, Cory Monteith, as“Finn”, died of a drug overdose in 2013 at 31. Mark Salling, as“Puck”, killed himself in January 2018after he was sentenced over child pornography charges.
