In this difficult time, designers need high level of innovation and creativity and out of the box ideas to stand out from the crowd when promoting their new collections. Lebanese-American designer Elie Mizrahi combined all the elements that made his first advertising campaign for Mônotout of the ordinary: super models wearing his designs at Arab archaeological site.
Al Ula, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO heritage site, acted as a harmonious background with world’s supermodels Kate Moss, Jourdan Dunn, Candice Swanepoel, Mariacarla Boscono, Amber Valletta, Xiao Wen Ju and Alek Wek, who starred in Eli Mizrahi’s gowns for FW 2020 collection.
From the heart of Al Ula, Kate Moss showcased a black Mônot dress, combining the narrow cut from the top with the maxi length and a slit thigh from the, to add more sexiness and the feminine authority was reflected through Moss’ shot puffing a cigarette as if she’s a "bad girl".
Among Mônot’s dramatic campaign shots, supermodel Candice Swanepoel looked irresistible in an ivory satin maxi dress striking a pose beside the white horse in front of mirrors, which reflect the natural beauty of Al Ula.
Despite the simplicity of the designs, the supermodels showed off their bold feminine side, each one her own way, looking incredibly in tune with Al-Ula in the background.
According to the designer behind Mônot, they shot the campaign in 24 hours to at Al-Ula, and he said: “Kate Moss, you showed me just what a star you are. You trusted me and jumped blindly into this project. You gave it your heart and soul and you were the keystone to making this campaign a success.”
“Alek, Amber, Candice, Jourdan, Mariacarla, and Xiao Wen you embody the inclusive cross-cultural swath of empowered women that Mônot wants to dress. Thank you for flying in from all over the world to be part of this passion project," added Eli.
