Have you ever been on vacation with family or friends where you took many pictures, but you came back with huge disappointment? You're not alone! We surely love to take pictures, especially while spending quality time with stunning landscapes surrounding us or while having new adventures. The Last thing you want bad pictures that failed to capture those wonderful moments. So, before heading to your next vacation this summer, check the following tips to help you improve your chances of taking better vacation photos.
10 Tips to look better in pictures
1- If you had a lot of closed-eyes pictures before, try this time to close your eyes and open them slowly before the camera clicks. It is a useful way to avoid closed or half-closed eyes in your pictures!
2- To avoid double chin, try to extend it by lifting the head slightly up and pushing the face forward in addition to tilting your chin down a bit. It may seem weird, but you will look great.
3- Make sure that your makeup is good, for example when the foundation is very pale comparing to your skin tone, the difference will be obvious when the photo is taken with flash light. Therefore, don’t forget to add a thin layer of foundation on the neck and chest to make the skin and body’s color consistent.
4- Check your favorite photos, and try to determine the angle or position you took back then. Try to copy the look, the way of sitting, the smile, the pose… the next time you’re taking vacation photos.
5- Celebrities use a useful trick to make their photos look great while smiling: put your tongue behind your teeth when smiling to avoid a very wide or unattractive smile.
6- Make sure the lighting is good; make sure to take photos when the light is in front of you and not behind you. This will avoid dark and blurry photos, which is very disappointing when taking vacation photos.
7- Also, you should avoid standing directly under the light that could reflect strange shadows on your face.
8- If you are taking selfies, take the shot a little higher, as it shows good angles of the face rather than the shot from the bottom.
9- For a more natural-looking picture, try to grab anything like your sunglasses or the cup of coffee you’re drinking, as it helps you having a relaxed position and add more attitude to the picture.
10 - Facing the camera straight on is rarely flattering, thus you shouldn’t give it in, instead position yourself in different creative way in tune with your surrounding and just have fun taking as many pictures as you want!
