What we know about Louis Vuitton’s skate shoes

In collaboration with Jamaican skateboarder Lucien Clarke, artistic director Virgil Abloh signs Louis Vuitton's first shoe dedicated to skateboarding.

This is not the first time that Louis Vuitton has tackled the skateboard world, as in 2017, LV collaborated with Supreme under the direction of Kim Jones, who aroused strong passions. This summer, the brand is going further with a sneaker designed for skateboarding by professional Lucien Clarke, under the supervision of Virgil Abloh, the brand's men’s artistic director. The London-based Jamaican skateboarder had his name featured on the side of the sneakers.

The skate shoes, which are designed in black and orange or green and gray suede as unveiled on Lucien’s Instagram account, feature a massive allure and semi-sheer soles, embellished with the Louis Vuitton monogram.

Although the price and the release date have not been announced yet, Lucien Clarke gave us some hints on the rest of the collection. In a campaign where he revealed the skate shoes, we noticed a board designed with the monogram and Palace logo, a London skate brand founded in 2009, which became very popular among the young generation.
