Lebanese fashion designers, whose headquarters in Beirut have been damaged after the horrific blast, are to standing up again to take initiative and help people, who were also affected by this disaster, which occurred on August 4th, 2020, at the capital’s port.
After Zuhair Murad launched the Rise from the Ashes initiative, which celebrities from all over the world joined to support Lebanon, Lebanese designer Rami Kadi is raising donations as well to help families, whose houses were destroyed during the blast, through Family Aid NGO.
Rami Kadi released a set of white t-shirts in cooperation with Family Aid, not only to support the affected families by the blast but also to empower women through the messages he wrote on the t-shirts.
The Lebanese designer, whose designs have walked the red carpet, announced this humanitarian initiative on his Instagram account, insisting that these T-shirts will only be available in a limited quantity, for a limited time. The proceeds will go to Family Aid.
Earlier this month, Rami announced that he’ll be selling a dress from his Fall 2020 Haute Couture collection, which is a semi-sheer long gown with long and puffy sleeves, fully embellished with sparkling embroideries.
All proceeds from the dress will go to Beb W Shebbek, a Lebanese NGO that also helps families to rebuild their homes destroyed or damaged by the August 4 terrible explosion.
