Dolce & Gabbana hosted an unforgettable Alta Moda show in Florence with a collection inspired by Rinascimento and Rinascita – a tribute to the history, art and timeless elegance of the city, and to the unparalleled skill of its artisans’ workshops. The Designers’ vision was complemented by a captivating beauty look showcasing Dolce&Gabbana’s signature sophisticated femininity – radiant, flawless skin offset by elegantly defined eyes and vibrant, bold lips.
To prep the skin and create the perfect canvas for makeup, makeup artists first applied an even layer of the Secret Shield Protective Smoothing Primer, instantly refining the models’ pores and bestowing a radiant luminosity, while at the same time protecting their skin from external aggressors. Next, Millennial skin Tinted Moisturizer was used to create a natural yet flawless complexion, its weightless hydrating texture blending seamlessly with the models’ skin for a fresh and healthy glow. Solar Glow Illuminating Powder Duo was swept over the cheeks to enhance the complexion with luminous color, using the golden and bronze shades to give a sun-kissed contour, and then dusting the pink and peach shades onto the apples of the cheeks for a radiant flush.
The eyes were the center of attention, with Feline eyes Eyeshadow Quad in Warm Nude 5 used to create a natural, sculpted look. The lightest nude shades of the palette were blended all over the eyelids to give an even base, and then the deeper brown shade was swept along the crease to add contour and definition. To highlight the inner corner of the eyes, Intense eyes Creamy Eyeshadow Stick in Gold 6 was dabbed on with the fingertip, adding a shimmery accent that brightened the models’ eyes. The Glam Liner in Black Intense 1 was traced along the upper lash line in a dramatic flick that added intensity to the look, while brows were enhanced with The Brow Liner to add definition and frame the eyes. Full, fluttery lashes were the finishing touch, with several coats of Passion eyes Intense Volume Mascara in Nero Sicilia 1 used to catch every lash and add show-stopping volume.
Lips were no less alluring, with vibrant shades of passionate red, delicate pink and sophisticated nude bringing a ravishing accent of color. The matte, velvety texture of Dolce Matte Lipstick was painted onto lips with a lip brush, creating a perfect shape that enhanced and defined the Cupid’s bow. To complement the look, The Nail Lacquers in Honey, Bella, Candy and Lover adorned nails with rich, glossy shades of nude, pink and red.
