Although the Salone Internazionale del Mobile’s Milan Design Week 2020 was postponed till April 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this did not stop luxury fashion labels from revealing their latest home and décor collections. And if we want to look for the silver lining of what has been happening in 2020, staying home means it’s the perfect time to renew our interiors.
So, here’s a roundup of the latest homeware collections from some of your fashion brands who will definitely make your house just as stylish as you are.
Dior Maison
The philosophy that runs through all of the Dior Maison collections is a fusion of modernity and heritage, perfectly captured by Cordelia de Castellane, Artistic director of Dior Maison. Each incorporates themes from Dior's runway shows translated for the home. From the house's toile de jouy signature print to the endless celebration of love in Dioramour collection to florals inspired by the couturier’s beloved botanical aesthetic, a bit of refinement adds an elegant touch to your home.
Fendi Casa
Luxury is always there when speaking of Fendi, and since 1988, Fendi Casa has been creating innovative and contemporary furniture and design pieces, bringing the Italian lifestyle and signature elegance to every interior.
Our favorites from the 2020 collection are: the Margaret armchair with its metal details in gun-metal, Bronze Shadow or Palladium finishes, and the Ripple Pequin coffee table, a strong reference to the Roman maison.
Gucci Décor
Maximalism and grandiosity, with a touch of refined elegance: welcome to the world of Gucci Décor, where every piece is a must-have for the home. 'Souvenir from Rome', the latest collection of furniture and decorative pieces designed by Alessandro Michele includes motifs and patterns borrowed from the ready-to-wear collection, from animal motifs to logo inspired prints.
Hermès
The French heritage house has already introduced its 2020 tableware and wallpaper designs to its online store. Artist Nathalie Rolland-Huckel drew inspiration from lush greenery and flowers to develop the pulsing with life “Passifolia” collection. “The idea was to rediscover the richness of the floral world” says Benoît-Pierre Emery, Creative Director at Objets et La Table at Hermès. This newest tableware collection features 30 colofrul items, each embellished with a golden edging. Some coral, red, pinks, and yellows broke the green domination.
Louis Vuitton
Louis Vuitton’s latest collection ‘Objets Nomades’, is a limited-edition range of travel-inspired furniture and objects made in collaboration with internationally renowned designers, including India Mahdavi, Marcel Wanders, Patricia Urquiola, Fernando and Humberto Campana, Atelier Oï... Each Objet Nomade brings together each designer’s artistic vision with Louis Vuitton artisans’ distinct expertise and skills. We fell in love with the Ribbon Chair by architect and designer André Fu, inspired by the movement of a dancing ribbon and evoking the idea of infinity.
