During a recent family outing, Kate Middleton wore a recycled denim dress from Uruguayan designer Gabriela Hearst.
Certain staple choices are meaningful and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton’s outfits prove this regularly.
On September 26, Kate Middleton, Prince William and their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis went out to the private gardens of Kensington Palace, to meet Sir David Attenborough, British writer, editor and naturalist for the screening of his feature film David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet. And while the royal meeting discussed environmental challenges, The Duchess of Cambridge chose a fashionable piece that matches the theme of the meeting.
And, while this royal meeting was also based on a discussion around environmental challenges, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for a fashionable piece right in the theme.
An autumn basic
Kate opted for a recycled denim dress from Gabriela Hearst's pre-Fall 2020 collection. The staple is eco-responsible and is designed by a brand that has been committed to sustainable fashion for so long. Over a year ago, Gabriela Hearst opened a boutique in London built entirely without any new material. Concerned about its environmental impact, the brand has also been using the “Tipa Compostable Bag” since 2018, an organic alternative to plastic packaging. These eco-friendly initiatives can’t but please the Duchess of Cambridge, who has also been recycling her fashion wardrobe for a while.
