For the first time, The Green Carpet Awards went virtual. On Saturday, October 10th, at the Milan’s iconic Opera House “La Scala”, the ceremony that streamed online, celebrated sustainable fashion. Eco-friendly brands and stars who make us think twice when it comes to environmental ethics.
The event was hosted by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, or The National Chamber of Italian Fashion, based in Milan and dedicated to promote, coordinate with and train young Italian designers.
The event invited stars from all around the world to dress in their best sustainable threads, and our radars have turned on to spot the looks.
Here are our favorites from the event!
Zendaya in Versace
Feels like it is Award season for Zendaya! A few weeks after her Emmy Award for Outstanding role in “Euphoria”, Zendaya received the Visionary Award during the Green Carpet Awards.
Zendaya stole the show with her fall 1996 vintage Versace dress, but the young star succeeded in giving the dress her young vibe especially with the beads embellishments. Vintage but Modern.
The BVLGARI global brand ambassador wore BVLGARI Serpenti High Jewelry as she chose a Serpenti high jewelry bracelet paired with Serpenti high jewelry earrings and finished with B.zero1 Rock and Serpenti Viper rings.
Ellie Goulding in Ralph & Russo
Ellie Goudling chose green, celebrating our beloved nature. The long and flowy gown is a Ralph and Russo design featuring over 150 responsibly sourced Zambian emeralds from Gemfields.
Ellie’s look was all about elegance, boldness, romanticism and most importantly attraction. Her look was eye-catching especially with the gown’s cut and its special color.
Alexa Chung in Prada
The writer, TV presenter and designer Alexa Chung chose a Vintage Prada cocktail dress. We loved the gold lamé brocade details.
The look seemed fun and elegant at the same time.
Olivia Palermo in Tommy x Zendaya
Among the virtual attendees was Olivia Palermo. With her simple yet chic and trendy style, Olivia chose a 70’s inspired backless Tommy x Zendaya Spring 2019 orange gown, and it was originally worn by Priyanka Chopra during Cannes Film Festival back in May 2019.
German model Anna Ewers in Max Mara
German model Anna Ewers, face of the Max Mara FW20 campaign, wore an archive tuxedo look from the 1989 Max Mara runway show collection. 1989 was the first time Max Mara explored the tuxedo world which is now one of its iconic styles.
