Italian brand Boarini Milanesi, wishes to help various associations which fight for the protection of the oceans. Keep scrolling to see what the brand created and how it’s planning to achieve its goal.
Approximately 7 million dollars, the price of a bag made by Boarini Milanesi, an Italian brand specializing in luxury accessories. The bag took more than 1000 hours of work. It is decorated with 10 white gold butterflies studded with sapphires, diamonds and Paraiba tourmalines. The total value of these details added to the bag comes to 130 carats.
Crocodiles to save the oceans
To carry out its strategy, Boarini Milanesi has decided to produce this bag in only three copies worldwide. The sale of each bag will allow several associations fighting for the protection of the oceans to receive a donation of 950 000 $ approximately. A project made possible by Matteo Rodolfo Milanesi, co-founder of the brand, who explained that he noticed more plastic in the oceans today than during his childhood. At the moment, there is no information on potential interested buyers.
Artistic director Carolina Boarini and Matteo Rodolfo Milanesi have put together the bag that they consider to be "the most expensive in the world".
However, the choice of croc leather in defending the environment is kind of controversial, although the project is well-intentioned.
