Hend Sabri Celebrates The WFP Nobel Peace Prize

The World Food Programme (WFP) was awarded the 2020 |Nobel Peace Prize, beating 318 other candidates.
Hend Sabri, the World Food Program’s Goodwill Ambassador for 10 years now, went emotional in a video she posted on her Instagram, sharing her memories of serving humanity with the WFP while celebrating “the best 10 years” of her life.
The World Food Program (WFP) provides food assistance to more than 23 million people in 13 countries in the Middle East and North Africa and operates in some of the world's toughest working environments due to ongoing conflict as well as mass and protracted displacement.
The 2020 Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the United Nations World Food Program is in recognition of the important link between conflict and hunger and the important role that food aid plays in supporting the first step towards peace and stability.
In addition to Sabri, Opera singer Zeina Barhoun and the American designer Michael Kors were also featured in a WFP video, which many stars joined. The organization will accept the prize during a virtual event which will be live streamed over Facebook.
