This year’s New York Fashion Week was full of unexpected yet very sensual numbers. The designers really outdid themselves this time! Here is a recap of some shows of NYFW Spring/Summer 2017.
Thom Browne
Thom Browne is known for his very unusual clothing collections, and he did not disappoint us this year. The designer presented models wearing bathing suits and zinc-y white and blue lipstick, there were also cat-people and parrot people, but what’s really caught our attention is the beautiful print dresses and pencil skirts.
Tommy Hilfiger
Hilfiger decided to recycle his old creations and show us some of his greatest hits such as classic oversized sweaters, marine designs and streetwear. Why? Because he can. Let’s not forget the amazing Gigi Hadid who created her line ‘Tommy x Gigi’, she was sensational on the catwalk.
Alexander Wang
The Taiwanese American creator went for a variety of looks including a triangle bra made from button-down fabric, oversized blazers and party dresses. He designed a gorgeous silver metallic dress for Kylie Jenner, who wore it on the event to watch her sister walk the runway.
Victoria Beckham
Silk velvet was on Beckham’s menu for Spring. She preferred to let go of tight-fitting knit dresses and make place for loose outfits. The shimmery fabric and the stripes were a big hit.
Carolina Herrera
Herrera created some bold knits including stripes and tiles, jean dresses and major metallic aluminum-like gowns. The designer revisited some of her previous collections such as the one worn by Serena Williams in a Vogue imageshoot. The models had sensual red lips as a final touch.
Zac Posen
We noticed a lot of long coats, pastel maxi dresses and prints in Zac Posen’s fashion show. What’s transcendent about this collection is the gorgeous, sophisticated details. The designer chose to pair the clothes with flat sandals in order to give them a rather down-to-earth impression.
