Haute Couture Fashion Week Will be 100% Digital

Paris has maintained its runway shows dedicated to men's collections and haute couture scheduled from January 19 to 28. The federation has decided that they will be 100% digital.
January is usually marked by fashion weeks. The men's runways first, which will be held from Tuesday January 19 to Sunday January 24, then those of haute couture, scheduled from Monday January 25 to Thursday January 28. But there won't be thousands of people around the shows, like every year. The health situation forces fashion weeks to review the organization of events by maintaining the ban on public reception. There will therefore be no physical runways. An event that follows the measures announced by the authorities which impose health restrictions to slow the pandemic.
In July 2020, the Fédération de la haute couture et de la mode had for the first time set up a digital platform where the men's spring-summer 2021 collections and the fall-winter 2020-2021 haute couture were most often presented under the form of a video. In October, the digital format was again on the program, with the retransmission of real runways held behind closed doors. The federation announces, however, that several fashion meetings - excluding runways - organized during fashion weeks will be physically maintained as press presentations, provided they respect the number of people authorized.
The men's fashion show calendar lists 71 brands including Louis Vuitton, Hermès and Dior Homme. On the haute couture side, 32 parades or presentations are planned, including Chanel, Schiaparelli, Fendi Couture - which will unveil the first collection designed by Kim Jones - or even Jean Paul Gaultier.
