Tuna salad sandwich on the Tunisian way

Ingredients

1/2 red onion, chopped

2 tablespoons of olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

100 g canned tuna in oil

1 tomato, diced

1 cucumber, chopped

1 tablespoon of olives, pitted

1 boiled egg, sliced

2 baguettes

2 tablespoons of chickpeas

 

How to prepare

To prepare the salad, mix olive oil, onion, salt and pepper in a medium-sized bowl. Add the tuna, tomato, cucumber and olives and mix well.

To prepare the sandwich, spread the bread with chickpeas, then place the salad and line the boiled eggs over it. Place the second section of bread on top and leave the sandwich aside for 10 minutes before serving.
