JLo and Kim Kardashian are on the list. The two celebrities just went for the “Mousy Hair”. So what is it? It’s a hair color that you get with a strand-by-strand coloring technique, made famous by the hairdresser of the two celebrities, Chris Appleton. So you better keep scrolling to know more about this smart hair coloring technique.
Nineties trends are on the rise again with, among other things, more assertive locks, especially in bold colors. Conversely, the new coloring technique by Chris Appleton relies on a result as natural as possible. The idea? Bringing light but in very soft nuances. For Kim Kardashian, the hairstylist explains that he “took up Kim's “bronde” in a slightly lighter shade on the lengths by adding a darker base at the root”.
Close to a flash or sunburn effect, the principle really lies in the desire to lighten as gently as possible keeping the hair in its natural color, and that’s where the word ”mousy” came from. Mousy means “Shy” and this hair-coloring method is really a soft but attractive one. The hairdresser uses one color tone above the original base for the roots, and one below to highlight the lengths.
No huge transformation, but a work on the details which should get the attention of all the women who want to revive their hair without overdoing it.
