A few days after revealing her second pregnancy, Meghan Markle, accompanied by Prince Harry, made an appearance in a video posted online on Monday the 22nd of February. For the occasion, the Duchess made a statement in a lemon-print Oscar de la Renta dress.
Is there a message behind Megan’s choice of outfit? Since the announcement of Meghan Markle's second pregnancy on Sunday, February 14th, it looks like the Sussexes are not against heavy media exposure. The couple have announced that they will give an exclusive interview to Oprah Winfrey on March 7. A 90-minute conversation in which they will discuss the “Megxit”, the arrival of the former actress in the royal family, their marriage and their foundation. An interview that left Buckingham Palace “dumbfounded” and to make the separation between them even more evident, the Queen’s annual Commonwealth message alongside her family members, minus the voluntary estranged Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, will be broadcast on BBC, hours before Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah.
In a virtual event organized by Spotify to which they were invited, Meghan Markle nevertheless looked radiant in a lemon-print dress by Oscar de la Renta. Sleeveless and with a 1960s-style round neck, the dress gives a vibrant and sunny look.
This is not the first time that Meghan Markle has chosen the American house for her pregnancy outfits. When she was pregnant with Archie in 2018, the Duchess wore Oscar de la Renta several times. She made a notable appearance in a floral print dress accessorized with a Carolina Herrera bag. A choice that comes up often, as a nod to their new life now in Los Angeles.
