Whether it’s a makeup tip that’s going viral or a fashion hack everyone is trying, we can’t stop checking the TikTok trends nowadays, not only because everyone is talking about them, but because some of them actually work and can become part of our routines.
When it comes to beauty, it’s the skincare routines and makeup hacks that TikTok users are really buzzing about, and while some of them are useless or even harmful, others are actually worth the hype.
Today, it’s the “Viral Blush Technique” that’s taking over the scene and TikTok beauty lovers and Instagram stars are obsessed with this trend (Btw you can find every tutorial on the technique on TikTok through the following hashtag #viralblushtechnique or #BlushTrend).
The trend was started by makeup artist Sellma Kasumoviq. She first shared a video on the new technique last month. Once it was picked up by beauty enthusiasts and makeup influencers, the trend took off.
What is the viral blush technique?
This beauty technique is based on a red lipstick which will give you at the same time a lifted face and a blushed tint without applying the powder blush that might fall down few hours later.
How to do it?
After watching all the tutorial videos on TikTok, and trying the technique ourselves, we’ll give you the full instructions:
First, grab a red lipstick and draw the contouring lines with it (You can check the contouring guide we previously gave you to know where to draw the lines). Keep in mind that lipstick is thick and can potentially clog the pores on your skin.
Second, blend fast before the lipstick dries, then apply your concealer and darker contouring stick in the areas you usually do and blend them altogether.
Third, apply foundation on your whole face and finish your look with highlighting your cheekbones and bronzing your cheeks.
The result?
You’ll get a perfect sun-kissed look on a much-smoother looking skin. This technique is definitely our go-to this spring for a rosy and slightly flushed complexion.
So, if you’re to hop on the trend, here are the TikTok videos you can watch and learn from.
