Lebanese Rose Drink

Ingredients

1 cup of sugar

1 cup of water

1 lemon, squeezed

1 drop of red food coloring (optional)

1/3 cup of rose water

1 teaspoon pine nuts

 

How to prepare

Put the sugar and water in a bowl over medium heat and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.

After boiling, add the lemon juice and let it simmer for 5 minutes.

Add food coloring and rose water, then boil for an additional two minutes.

Set aside to cool.

To serve, pour 2 tablespoons of ice cubes into a glass then add water and stir well.

Garnish the syrup with pine nuts and serve cold.
