Colorful prints can be the hardest to style. While you have all the edgy colors and strong styles in mind, it’s not actually that easy to shift to a more feminine and fun look. However, spring is the season of fun and getting out of the comfort zone, which is why we encourage you to step outside your black and essentials bubble to some joyful prints.
You’re probably thinking you’re turning into a colored floral block when you hear spring prints, but thanks to influencers along with today’s fashion scene, prints range from geometric shapes, rainbows, stripes, polka dots, and the list can still go on.
Entrepreneur, media specialist and fashion blogger Areej Nashashibi seems to be perfecting the art of spring prints, so we took a round in her Instagram.
Here are 4 looks that not only say a lot about prints styling but will also inspire you.
In this look, Areej chose a pleated skirt in purple and gold vintage prints and styled it with a basic purple shirt, lilac (one of our favorite pastel shades) blazer and accessorized the outfit with plain purple accessories. When it’s a fully printed skirt, adding few neutrals and print-less staples is the right choice to keep the look elegant, chic and not exaggerated.
Rainbow prints are so trendy this season and wearing them the right way isn’t always the easiest. Areej chose a rainbow denim set and styled it with a basic white shirt. And here, we advise you not to mix rainbow print with another print to stay chic and casual. You can wear a pair of white sneakers if you’re going to the mall, or white high-heel mule if you’re turning it into a evening look.
On one écru dress, we saw some out-of-the-box yet really attractive and fun prints in orange, blue, red and lilac. The fashionista turned it into an elegant and really stylish look. She teamed it with a red Dior clutch, and a pair of lilac high-heeled mules.
And its finally a floral look. All you need is a floral printed midi skirt, a basic t-shirt, a tank top, or a crop top (in one basic color) and colored sandals to elevate the look. She paired blue and white with yellow and we loved the styling.
Now it’s your time to try some of the cute spring prints. Shop below our favorite printed staples and get some Areej-inspired looks ASAP!
