The Birkin and Kelly lovers will now have new Hermès bags obsessions thanks to the new Spring 2021 styles the French house has added.
We can never get enough of Hermès bags and silk scarves. From the iconic Birkin and Kelly models to the more affordable ones, we all dream of having at least one Hermès bag in our wardrobe. Epitome of elegance, minimalism and exquisite craftsmanship, the Hermès bags are not only covetable, they are timeless and definitely worth the investment.
This spring, the French luxury house has introduced some desirable standout pieces on the runway, as well as in the Objets SS21 collection. Creative director Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski’s vision of this new collection was all about “freedom, the freedom to reinvent, to dream of a fresh spirit”, and she introduced two new bags on the catwalk, the Perspective Cavalière and the Mors de Brides. But they are not the only styles we are coveting this season. Scroll through to see our favorite Hermès investment bags for this season.
The Perspective Cavalière
Say hello to the new bucket bag. The Hermès Perspective Cavalière is an asymmetrical bucket bag that comes in two sizes and features clean curves which create a perfect optical illusion. Take note: this bag will soon become a classic Hermès model.
The Mors de Brides
This edgy yet minimalist and structured bag is a nod to Hermès’ equestrian world, and more specifically to the harness, which is at the origin of the French luxury house since 1837. In the Mors de Brides bag, the horse bit element is incorporated into the strap.
The Birkin Shadow
Spotted during the Objets SS21 collection, this iconic bag is not only on our wish list, it is clearly in our dreams. In case you were wondering, the Birkin Shadow bag was born in 2009, and the idea was to make use of the rectangular shape of the iconic Birkin bag, and create an optical illusion with the side straps.
The Tufted H Tote
Spring means more colors in your wardrobe and accessories, and Hermès has added the right dose of freshness in this practical and chic tote spotted in the Objets SS21 collection. The French luxury house uses a specific weaving technique to create this tufted tote which is undoubtedly one of this season’s most sought-after objects of desire. And did I mention that I do love these vibrant and fresh colors?
The Trim 31 Anate Rainbow Bag
If you can’t decide between the fringes trend and the rainbow one, Hermès came up for the sportiest and chicest solution. Created in 1958 and redesigned in 2020, the Trim honors the fashion house’s equestrian roots by reimagining the original shape of a horse trough and transforming it into an everyday bag, while the signature snap hook clasp has made it a Hermès classic.
