Date Bread Rings

Ingredients
The dough
4 and a half cups of flour
1/2 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of instant yeast
1 teaspoon cardamom
Pinch of salt
1/3 cup of butter
1/2 cup of yogurt
2 eggs
1 cup of warm milk
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon of vanilla
The filling
500 g date paste
2 tablespoons of melted butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon of fine anise Beaten egg
How to prepare
In a bowl, mix 4 cups of flour with sugar, yeast, cardamom, and salt, then add the butter and knead the mixture until homogeneous. Add the yogurt, then the eggs, milk, vinegar and vanilla. Knead the dough by hand for five minutes. If it is too sticky, add the remaining amount of flour and knead again for 10 minutes.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover and then leave it aside until it doubles in size.
To prepare the filling, mix all the ingredients well with each other.
Divide the dough into circles, then roll each one on a floured surface and stuff it with the date mixture, then roll.
Apply from both sides, then cut the edges with a knife until the date filling appears.
Put on a tray greased with oil, then brush with the beaten eggs and place in the preheated oven for 20 minutes until browned.
It can be garnished with toasted sesame before putting it in the oven.
