Are Bermuda Shorts In Trend This Summer?
Look of the day

Every year, one staple remains an essential in summer wardrobe: shorts, whether the denim, linen, or leather ones. However, if you don’t feel comfortable wearing shorts, or if you’re looking for a more modest cut, then Bermudas are what you need. Bermuda shorts were a major trend in the ‘90s and one of Lady Diana’s off-duty favorite summer staples; with the strong comeback of ‘9os fashion inspiration, the boyish vibe of Bermuda shorts have caught the attention of celebs and fashion girls. They have adopted this trend into their wardrobes and have been serving us some stylish and inspiring spring and summer looks in these knee-length shorts.
I love Bermuda shorts because they are the perfect alternative to pants during summer (and winter, where you can wear them with knee-boots), and they can also replace the mini shorts for a casual-chic look. You can wear them everywhere, whether at work, during daytime activities, or even on a casual night out.
For today’s look, I chose to show you how Bermuda shorts can be chic and elevate your summer looks, inspired by one of the muses of the Scandinavian style: Pernille Teisbaek. The Danish stylish and influencer loves androgyny and minimalism when it comes to style, and she played with the Bermuda shorts her own way. I love how she teamed them with a timeless white tee, an oversized blazer, and a pair of sleek mules to tone down the boyish vibes and add a feminine touch. I also loved the neutral color palette she chose, adding even more chicness and elegance to the outfit. Should you feel like copying her look, don’t worry, I’ve done the work for you: I chose a beige pair of Bermudas from Brunello Cucinelli and I teamed them with a ribbed knit ZARA white top and an oversized brown blazer from Georgia-based label Materiel. I complemented the look with feminine leather strappy sandals, and a colorful necklace.
