This Palestinian Dessert from Nablus Is Going To Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

Ingredients

The dough

2 and a quarter cup of flour

4/3 cup of water

Pinch of salt

 

The filling

1 and a half cup of semolina flour

1 and a half cup of sugar

6 cups of water

 

How to prepare

Mix the flour with the salt and gradually add the water until you get a cohesive dough. Brush the dough with oil and set it aside for at least 4 hours.

At this time, prepare the filling by mixing all the ingredients together well and putting it on low heat until the mixture thickens. Place in the refrigerator until use.

Divide the dough into six parts, and each piece into four parts.

Cut the filling into 24 equal pieces, then place each of them in each piece of dough. Apply and make squares, then fry in hot oil until browned.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar or ground pistachios and serve.
