Red lentil pancakes with tahini sauce

Ingredients

The pie

1 onion, chopped

2 tablespoons of olive oil

4 boiled chopped carrots

1 cup boiled red lentils

1 cup of oats

2 garlic cloves, mashed

1 tablespoon of lemon juice

1 tablespoon of paprika

1 tablespoon of cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup chopped coriander

 

The sauce

1/3 cup of tahini

2 tablespoons of lemon juice

Water as needed

1/4 cup chopped coriander

1/4 cup chopped parsley

Salt and pepper to taste

 

How to prepare

Cook the onions in the oil over the fire until they turn golden, add the carrots and stir for 5 minutes.

Put the mixture in the electric mixer with the lentils, then add half a cup of oats, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cumin, salt and pepper. Whisk until mixture is smooth.

Add the rest of the oats with the coriander. If the mixture is sticky, more oats can be added.

Form circles and place on a baking sheet in a tray in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

To prepare the sauce, mix all ingredients well.

Serve lentil pies with salad or Arabic bread.
