From Bahrain to Lebanon, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, Arab female Arab fashion designers are taking the fashion scene by storm. They succeeded in making big names in the Middle East and internationally with luxury labels that became the dream of every woman.
Today, we introduce to you 5 female-owned Bahraini fashion labels that are shining bright in the fashion business despite all the challenges and hardships every woman in the Middle East faces. Get inspired, get influenced and support these Bahraini fashion label who have the strongest women behind them.
Sofia Al Asfoor
This is the Bahraini brand that introduces a new generation of luxury. Not only the label takes us to handbags and accessories heaven but is also empowering, with a powerful young Bahrini woman behind it. Sofia Al Asfour, the designer, gets inspired by architectural structures and revisits them to her handbags and accessories, to address the modern and dreamy woman.
Noon by Noor
This luxury womenswear label based in Bahrain was founded in 2008 by cousins ShaikhaNoor Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa. The brand has its own luxury and elegant feel with design codes such as soft volumes, color mix, floral embroideries and dreamy lace trims. It’s all about the feminine vibe you would always search for especially with details like the tulle and pearl always there in Noon by Noor’s collections.
AKS The Label
AKS The Label is the Bahraini contemporary womenswear label ready to impress you anytime and anywhere. It was founded in 2013 by Bahraini sisters, Amna and Asma Khaled Saif. AKS is so unique because it reflects two paths, two personalities, and two different perspectives, each for one of the sisters and the mix became the brand’s DNA. We see the tailored classical wardrobe infused with the more fun vibes: oversized cuts, knots, wraps, bows and more.
Aisha Jewels
It’s Aisha Abdulmalik’s world and we are living in it. The trendy and modern jewelry house gives a great example of the very on-point artisanal creation. If you visit her studio “The Studio”, by appointment, you’ll experience the taste of luxury as she takes you through the different stages of designing to the point where the end product meets the dreams of its owner. If you’re curious enough and want to go through the whole adventure, do it with the Bahraini talented designer Aisha.
Trü Active
Dana and Hala Zubari, two names that are behind Trü Active, Bahrain's leading activewear brand. Dana is passionate about sports and Hala loves fashion, so they combined their talents and created a label that became the first of its kind with styles that are must haves in your workout wardrobe.
The designs get extremely unique once touched by their father Khalid, who creates the Arabic Calligraphy on every piece we fell in love with.
