Meet the 60 seconds Rule for Perfect Skin Everyone is Obsessing Over

Is the “60-second rule” the secret of glow? Even if you’re on a busy daily schedule, a one-minute step in your makeup cleaning routine won’t hurt.
Cleaning your skin perfectly is essential for it to be healthy and radiant.
We understand that this daily cleansing routine combined with an effective makeup-removal is essential but we are often not giving it the right amount of time. Most of us usually cleanse for about 15 to 30 seconds, however, to see the best effects we should give the process a whole minute, according to a beauty specialist from the LABeautyologist brand who regularly recommends this rule to her community on social media.
Interviewed by Cosmopolitan.com, she explains that “makeup, impurities and fatty substances are much more difficult to remove from the surface of the skin than we can ever imagine. So not only you want to give your cleanser a chance to get over it, but by taking 60 seconds to do it, you really pay attention to your skin and what you're doing; such as not forgetting to clean certain areas like the edges of the nose, under the chin and at the hairline”.
This technique unleashed the hashtag #60secondrule and the ones who tried this concept for several weeks are already comparing “before and after” pictures that actually show a difference.
This method is reminiscent of another, called Golden Minute, and advocated by a dermatologist and beautician who works with celebrities such as Cindy Crawford, Lili Reinhart and Demi Lovato. Here, the duration is also one minute, but the process is different. For the American specialist, there would indeed be a window of 60 seconds after washing your face to apply moisturizers. “Your bare skin is more vulnerable to dehydration through a process called 'osmosis',” she explained to Cosmopolitan in April.
Two methods, same duration ... It remains to be seen which one suits you best. We are grateful for the fast process and we are definitely going to hop on the trend right now.
