In a video posted on her Instagram account, American actress and businesswoman Jessica Alba shared the unusual technique she followed for her skin complexion for a “natural” effect.
"I was sick of thick makeup, so I started using this technique and I've been obsessed with it ever since," Jessica Alba revealed in a video posted on her Instagram account. The actress would have tested a makeup tutorial of the American beauty influencer Chloe Morello, which would have revolutionized her routine.
"I know I look crazy," she wrote in the caption of her publication, however, begging her subscribers to believe in this "top makeup tip". According to her, it is a "quick and easy" method that would ensure a "natural, fresh and dewy" complexion.
In this video, Jessica Alba appears on camera, her face riddled with multi-colored dots. "Apply all of your cream-textured products at the same time, like this," she instructed, mentioning concealer, blush, bronzer and contouring product. "The key is to use a setting spray on top. It will keep the material from drying, so you can blend it out. It also infuses the makeup," she said as she was spraying the treatment on her skin, and in the process makes a subtle advertisement for a reference of her cosmetics brand, Honest Beauty.
Fewer layers for a "more natural" result
Then, Jessica Alba blends all the colors one after the other with a large face brush, going from the lightest shade to the darkest. "It's very easy because it's well moistened thanks to the mist," she declared.
"It's that instead of applying foundation to your entire face, you only have one layer of makeup, even though there are five products in all," the star explains to her followers on the social network, noting that her "typical routine would involve having five different layers of makeup," but that this way her look "looks more natural."
