A Surreal Moment

On Friday, September 30, American model Bella Hadid closed the Coperni fashion show by being sprayed with a liquid material on her body, which turned into a white dress.
The young French label has a sense of spectacle and innovation. If it has already demonstrated it in the past, it has again surpassed itself in the closing of its fashion show, on Friday night. The surprise effect was played on the design of a dress, made live in front of the audience. During the final, the model Bella Hadid was sprayed on her naked body (wearing only panties) a liquid material. It dried instantly on contact with her skin to form a layer of non-woven fabric.
The component created by Fabrican, a company founded by Spanish designer and scientist Manel Torres, is made of cotton fibers and synthetic materials integrated with a polymer solution. In less than ten minutes, Bella Hadid appeared in a white dress, which was then slightly altered and adjusted to allow her to parade under the eyes of a fascinated public.
Repairing clothes by spraying
At the helm of the Coperni brand are Arnaud Vaillant, 32, and Sébastien Meyer, 33, who are keen to stay true to the feminine aesthetic of the relaunched brand in 2019, while seeking to innovate on the technical front, including developing smart fabrics. The design duo had previously created an antibacterial jersey that protects against UV rays and reportedly has moisturizing properties. Here, they turned to a spray coating technique that can be used to repair and refresh damaged or worn materials, like clothing, opening up a new possibility to extend their lifespan.
With this unprecedented performance, Coperni has captivated the public present at its show, but also social networks. Many Internet users have commented on the event calling this moment "memorable", going so far as to register it "in the history of fashion".
