With its assumed nonchalance, the "puddle" pants extend its influence among celebrities, from Isabelle Huppert to Bella Hadid.
While the tension rises between the high waist and the return of the ultra low waist, the latest trend in pants brings the debate on another field. Dubbed "puddle," this cut of pants is characterized by its flared leg that extends over the foot and ends up on the ground. In other words, it is a wide pants too long which is deliberately not hemmed. A cut seen on Sharon Stone, or Dua Lipa and Bella Hadid, two followers of this piece with studied nonchalance.
The art of the casual hem
Seen on the catwalks of Diesel, MM6 or Balmain, the "puddle" pants are part of the global trend of oversized pieces. If it seduces, it is for its cool look and its comfort. Or rather its illusion of comfort, given the fact that it involves walking on its hem. To baggy jeans, very literal evocation of the grunge movement, we prefer the version of suit pants. Indeed, a leg that ends in an accordion adds a hint of casualness to a dressy piece. And promises to run happy days with his pants, flat as in heels.
