Princess of Wales Kate Middleton braved the snow this Wednesday to visit the Irish Guards, as honorary colonel of the regiment. Title she inherited from her husband in December.
Whether it rains, sells or snows, nothing stops Kate Middleton when it comes to promoting the Crown. This Wednesday, March 8, the Princess of Wales made the trip to Salisbury (southern England) to visit the Irish Guards. Wearing a long braid like Lara Croft, Prince William's wife was dressed for the occasion: khaki wool cap, cargo pants, camouflage jacket and rangers (Berghaus Supalite boots, worth 155 pounds sterling - about 175 euros - that she has already worn several times).
Colonel of the Irish Guards
On the spot, the one that the English like to call "Perfect Kate" did not lack aplomb, engaging in the various exercises of the infantry regiment. And this, despite the freezing temperatures and the snow. She administered first aid to a (falsely) injured soldier, applying a tourniquet to his lower left leg. As detailed in the Daily Mail , Kate Middleton was also able to speak directly with members of the battalion, including guards deployed in Africa for missions such as the fight against poaching.
This is the first time that Kate Middleton visits the Irish Guards since she was appointed honorary colonel of this regime of the British Royal Guard. A title (her first in the army) that the mother of George, Charlotte and Louis inherited from her husband in December, when he himself became colonel of the Welsh Guards.
