Immersive Dining Experience on Sirene Boat

3-April-2023
Curated by Dinner Time Story, “Message in a bottle” is the latest innovative dining concept taking place on the stunning boat, Sirene. Taking place on a charming dining vessel departing from JA Beach Hotel at JA The Resort, the nightly event uses tale-telling theatrics, illusions, and cutting-edge 3D graphic technology over a two-hour, five-course dinner spectacle.
The show begins as soon as guests step onto the boat, starting with a 30-minute tour of the Marina where diners can marvel at the moonlit Arabian Sea. Once the craft is anchored, the story starts – introduced through graphics by a fairy and avatar from the future – transporting guests to a dystopian world where the environment has been destroyed and measures need to be taken to avoid further endangerment.
Each course will excite the senses through an illusionary feast of delectable, sustainably sourced ingredients. The mouth-watering seafood focused menu aims to surprise and delight, taking diners on a journey inspired by the deep sea, artic, beach, bottle, and coral reef. Keeping the magic tightly concealed, a sneak-peek at the dishes revealed Citrus Scallops Mousse, Tiger Prawns, Pan Seared Seabass, and a dessert which calls on the creative talents of the diner. Vegetarian and vegan alternatives are available, as is an extensive, fully licensed beverage list.
Priding itself on pioneering sustainable measures, JA Resorts & Hotels leads the way in the region’s hospitality arena with the implementation of green initiatives, including saving more than five million pieces of single-use plastic through on-property water bottling plants.
Following the announcement from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan that 2023 will be named “The Year of Sustainability”, the imperative need for hotels to improve their eco-practises has never been higher. JA The Resort pledges to let green tourism dominate its choices, conserving the natural habitats and wildlife surrounding its destinations and leaving a positive environmental footprint.
William-Harley Fleming, Vice President of Operations for JA The Resort and Indian Ocean, said: “Sirene provides a platform for JA The Resort to showcase its progressive and forward-thinking approach when it comes to the future of dining, and we’re honoured to be working with a brand as prestigious as Dinner Time Story. Ensuring sustainability is at the core of what we do, we’re extremely pleased to be unveiling such an entertaining and educational concept, which celebrates the marvellous, yet fragile, world we live in.”
Nadine Beshir, the CEO and Show Producer of Dinner Time Story said, ‘’We are thrilled to collaborate with JA The Resort on the launch of this beautiful concept that sheds light on the importance of sustainability. With this unique immersive dining experience, we hope to offer our guests a cutting-edge theatrical setting paired with delectable sustainably sourced delicacies.”
Sirene will will set sail nightly from 7pm, with dinner starting at 7:30pm. The two-hour extravaganza costs AED 399 per person for food only with a complimentary post-dinner beverage at Vasco Da Gama. Ages six years and above are welcomed with kids’ menus available.
